This is by far my favorite from the Addys this year -  a great self promotion from SBC Advertising (no, no relation to the phone company). 

These lanyards (the round-the-neck-staple of every conference) were tucked into welcome bags at the annual Retail Advertising Conference. RAC attendees donned the conversation starters - and, netted much more recall for SBC than the standard flyer / brochure and a great judge's choice speech at the Addys.

Sadly, my favorite phrases didn't make the pic. Here are a few more from the mini campaign:

Playing to a fan

Say you were a Jordan fan. How captivating to see every game-saving play, every signature move perfectly recreated in the jump, the run, the swoosh of a hopeful kid... Ok, so, you're probably not a Jordan fan. Then, just imagine seeing your favorite line, action, moment recreated by a fan as big as you. As aspiration goes, Nike always has it.

No surprise that this is another Saatchi & Saatchi - this one targeted at 'tweens, promoting a more active lifestyle. What must this media plan look like?

Worst spots of the week

Surely each of these oddballs doesn't rate its own post, but, they're probably worth a click or two:

First up: HP tells us What happens to deleted pictures (unfortunate creative closes with a great tag - Shoot fearlessly. Delete easily.)

In second place: BK (of course) with yet another creepy King siting

Could cool music have made Alien less scary, too?

Apparently McDonald's healthy menu options didn't stick to the ribs of consumers because their latest ad pops open adult bellies and sends their inner children running for big ol' greasy sandwiches and creamy hot fudge sundaes (free from adult guilt).

Sound gross? Well, yeah, but the music is nice.

Ambassador Scotch: Scotch from another era

Yep, that's aggravating enough to read on. Very interesting tactic. Here's hoping they write a case study (and that the people at Ambassador's 800-line don't go on strike).
